Dorothea von Staden

Dorothea von Staden, born in 20.06.1866 as Dorothea Wildfang zu Apenrade, was a step-daugther to the businessman Hans Adolf Möller, managing partner of “Möller und Meissner”, a company that was founded in 1871 in Bangkok.

She spent her childhood in Bangkok. At the age of 15 she moved back to her grandmother living in Hamburg. Only much later in life she wrote down her memories about Thailand. On 08.04.1948 she died in Stade, Lower Saxony.
